Because of a total lack of new pictures and fighting the illness I had to look through my folders with pictures. I decided to show you the beautiful city of Florence. I was there one year ago for only 5 or 6 hours, but I managed to take many photos. I really liked it there, the atmosphere on this city is really cozy and nice. Of course unbelievable heat impeded sightseeing, but I survived.
A very interesting place is the Ponte Vecchio on the river Arno, which islinked to a fascinating story, because on the beginning it was a place of butchers. The near-living wife of the Ferdinand I - Christina of Lorraine didn't like the smell of meat. That's why the duke decided to create there workshops of the goldsmiths and jewelers, which are there up till now. The bridge is really beautiful, it is on the place of the first wooden bridge from the times of the Ancient Rome and is the oldest bridge in Florence.
I really liked the fact that in the old, stone buildings are modern and expensive shops, cafes and restaurants. On the streets there are bike rentals and each road is full of motors and scooters.
I would really love to go there agian (especially now, when autumn is getting worse) and sightsee the city without a guide to feel the atmosphere.

 Z powodu całkowitego braku nowych zdjęć i walczenia z chorobą w ciepłym domku zaczęłam grzebać w moich folderach ze zdjęciami i postanowiłam pokazać Wam piękną Florencję. Byłam tam rok temu, przez jakieś 5-6 godzin, jednak udało mi się porobić sporo zdjęć. Bardzo mi się tam podobało, atmosfera tego miasta jest bardzo... przytulna i miła. Oczywiście niemiłosierny upał utrudniał zwiedzanie, ale jakoś przetrwałam.
Bardzo interesującym miejscem jest Most Złotników na rzece Arno, z którym wiążę się bardzo ciekawa historia, ponieważ na początku istnienia owego mostu urzędowali tam rzeźnicy. Mieszkającej obok żonie Ferdynanda I, Christinie z Lotaryngii przeszkadzał smród mięsa, dlatego też książę zadecydował o utworzeniu tam warszatów jubilerów i złotników, które mieszczą się tam do teraz. Most jest bardzo piękny, stoi na miejscu pierwszego drewnianego mostu jeszcze z okresu starożytnego Rzymu i jest najstarszym mostem we Florencji.
Bardzo ciekawe jest to, że w starych, kamiennych budowlach mieszczą się teraz nowoczesne i drogie sklepy, kawiarnie i restauracje. Na ulicach znajdują się wypożyczalnie rowerów, a wszędzie pełno jest motorów i skuterów.
Z wielką chęcią pojechałabym tam raz jeszcze, poodpoczywała (tym bardziej teraz, gdy jesień staje się coraz gorsza) i pozwiedzała sama, bez przewodnika.
